What are the Nail Courses we offer?

Combined VTCT Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma In Nail Technology

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Nail Treatments (QCF) is a vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a junior nail technician. It includes all the required elements to work effectively as a junior nail technician including providing manicure and pedicure treatments, providing nail art, health and safety, and client care and communication.

This qualification works through a series of internal and external assessments in which learners are assessed on learning units required for the award.lYou do not need any previous beauty experience to complete this course.

This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK’s leading professional association, the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) as being fit for purpose for preparing you for a career as a nail technician. Holders of this qualification are eligible to become a professional member of BABTAC.

Why should you do a Nail Course?

Our team  know that school and university is not for everyone. With the nail industry expanding so much over recent years this has sparked a lot of opportunities for those studying towards a nail technician qualification. Once you have qualified as a certified nail technician there are a variety of different routes that you can head down. You could become self-employed, allowing you to have a lot of flexibility, choose your own clients and work from home or travel to customers’ homes. You may also choose to go down the film, tv and media route. 

The nail industry is perfect for those who enjoy engaging with people and helping them feel confident in their body. You will be providing a boost to their self-esteem once their nails have been worked on!

In addition to learning about manicures, pedicures, designing and applying nail art (amongst other things) our course gives learners the insight and knowledge into health and safety within the nail industry and what the implications are for this. One final benefit of studying to become a Nail Technician is that you will be able to obtain professional and body membership insurance once you have finished your course.

What type of jobs are there in the Nail Industry?

There are a variety of different areas that you can look for employment in once finished with your level 2 or 3 in Nail Technology. The skills you will learn learn set you up for a  career in the nail industry which has a lot of opportunities, allowing you to work your way up and also become your own boss. Some of the main areas that our past learners have worked in are; beauty & nail salons, nail bars, hotels, health clubs, spas and as freelance nail technicians.
