Overview
This is a part-time course that will be taught using a mix of academy and home learning. It will include practical hairdressing units, employability skills, a short work placement, industry enrichment and Level 1 maths and English.
This course is designed to provide a foundation for future beauty courses. Once you have completed the programme you will be able to progress onto our beauty, hair or barbering apprenticeship programme, where you will be working full time in a salon or spa, and attending our academy one day a week – earning as you learn.
How Long Is The Course?
This course takes 7 months to complete on a part time basis.
When Does The Course Start?
We will have start dates in September in both of our beauty academies.
Are There Any Entry Requirements?
This course is open to anyone aged 16-19 who is interested in the hair and beauty industry. There are no minimum grades or previous experience required.
Where Can I Study The Course?
You can study the course in our Chiswick (West London) or Borehamwood (Hertfordshire) academies.

You will also complete work experience in a salon or spa, as well as working on industry enrichment activities, employability skills and your Level 1 Maths and English qualification.
What could this qualification lead to?

Career opportunities exist in a variety of contexts as a beauty therapist, including:

This course is fully funded for all 16-19 year olds.
