Primary Outcome
The primary outcome of the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of beauty therapy as a nail technician. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a nail technician.

The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Nail Technology treatments. Qualifications in Nail Technology is now becoming the industry required standard for those looking to gain employment within a salon. This course will enable you to provide a complete nail technology service and work as a professional nail technician.

Provide Pedicure Treatments
Apply and Maintain Nail Enhancements
Design and Apply Nail Art
Airbrush Design for Nails
Display Stock to Promote Sales in the Salon
Monitor and Maintain Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
Client Care and Communication in Beauty Related Industries
Maintaining Personal Health and Well-being

 The main skills the Learner will perform are:

Care of the nails on the hand including hand massage and application of polish
Care of the nails on the feet including foot massage and application of polish
Applying and maintaining nail enhancements - liquid and powder, gel and wraps
Designing and applying nail art
The use of airbrushes in nail art design

The Learner will also develop knowledge about the structure and functions of the nails and skin, contraindications to treatment, nail and skin analysis, related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential in order to work and be successful in the industry.

This qualification also provides:

The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the nail treatments listed above as well as understanding the structures that the Learners will be working over in particular recognition of skin types, skin and nail diseases and reasons that may affect whether a client should or should not be treated. 
Assessment and Grading of the Qualification 
This qualification will be internally and externally assessed using the assessment of skills as set out below. Once all of the treatment evidence documentation, assignments and underpinning knowledge have been completed, the Learner will have a final practical assessment carried out by the ITEC External Examiner, who will also verify a minimum of all treatment evidence documentation and assignments.

Course Fee: The qualification fee for the Level 3 is £2787.50 + VAT (£3,345.00). There are no additional registration or certification fees. All students will be required to purchase a uniform and kit.

You can finance this course through the Advanced Learner Loan or our finance instalment payment plan. (The fee for the uniform and kit are not covered in, the Advanced Learner Loan.

Flexible Study Options:  You can study for these programmes part-time.

Duration: 15 weeks if studied for 2 days a week.

Entry Requirement: A Level 2 qualification which includes Nails is required and a good command of written and verbal English language is required.
